A graduate of King's College London & the Royal Academy of Music, Fiona now lives in London, and works as a violinist and orchestral arranger for rock bands and singer/songwriters.
Artists she has recently worked with include Martha Wainwright, Ed Harcourt, Placebo, Stephanie Dosen, Kate Nash, The Feeling, Vashti Bunyan, Kelly Jones (Stereophonics) & Kanye West.
She has also written music for theatre including additional incidental music for the West End show "Billy Elliot". Fiona is also a songwriter, and is currently collaborating with Toni Halliday (Curve) on her new project, "Chatelaine".

Fiona personally organises all recording sessions for her own arrangements, drawing from a talented, friendly, experienced & reliable group of freelance, London-based musicians. She is a registered Musicians Union contractor and can organise & conduct recording sessions for any combination of orchestral instruments.
As a performer she has toured, recorded & performed live with a huge variety of celebrated artists, some of the most well known being Simply Red, Meatloaf, Kanye West, Jay-Z & Beyonce, Lemar, Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins, Harry Connick Jr, Sugababes, Katie Melua, Il Divo, Gorillaz, Westlife, Leona Lewis... although Fiona tends now to concentrate on working closely with independent artists and singer/songwriters, eg. Stephanie Dosen, Michael J Sheehy, Ed Harcourt, Vashti Bunyan, touring & performing at music festivals in the UK & Europe.

Tired of hearing & playing the same old classical string quartet music repeated at weddings and parties across the land, Fiona founded the Alchemy String Quartet in 2007 to perform a unique repertoire of her original arrangements of pop & rock songs, including classics by David Bowie, The Beatles, Prince, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Bjork, Radiohead, The Carpenters, Michael Jackson & many more.
Alchemy are available for gigs, recording sessions, private parties, corporate events & weddings.
